Helping you find your way home

About Lake Martin

Tucked away in the Appalachian foothills, Lake Martin is one of the country’s treasures.  The water is clean and sparkling; there are beautiful hardwood and pine forests, abundant wildlife and friendly people. More than 750 miles of wooded shoreline surround this 44,000+/- acre lake, so it is easy to find peace and quiet away from the fast city life -- Atlanta is just a little over 2 hours away, Birmingham an hour and a half, Montgomery a hour.

This is a rural area and I believe its wonderful!  Fishing, skiing, swimming, hunting, hiking in the miles of woodlands, Jazz Fests, high school and college football.  It is also home to some of the best golfing in Alabama at Willow Point, StillWaters and, of course, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Grand National in Opelika -- I notice that the people who visit the area tend to come back again and again.  In fact, many visitors have decided to become residents.

If you’ve never been to Lake Martin, come visit soon.  There’s something for everyone, every interest.  The best thing about the area is the Lake Martin way of life.  There are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met.  Again, please allow me to Help You Find Your Way Home to Lake Martin, Alabama's Best Kept Secret.
